Rock and Roll

Day Two:  Rockies Game (and a little horsing around...)

The game was good, the seats were great (stayed in the shade the whole game-- saw the sun creeping up the stands but it never met us)  the beer was delicious and the company was even better.

This guy was cracking us up

yes, there actually was a game that day and other people did show up

Ahh, nothing like spending the afternoon at the ol' ball field.  Good times, good times.

Hello Folks!

Hello ladies.....

eekkkk....ladies?

This past week we've had such a good time with my Mom and Dad in Denver.  Thanks for coming all the way here to be with us.  Day one:  Pizza and Pool (now that's a good combo...)

Really good pizza place in a really fun neighborhood in Denver.  Pasquini's-- thanks for a great start to the week, and for Tuesday being Kids Eat Free night (bonus!  otherwise, these poor kids would have been awfully hungry watching the rest of us eat)   ((I still love you Hot Tomato))

More pictures and updates to come.  My patience ratio and the amount of time it takes to upload pictures is slightly unbalanced right now.  A busy week, with lots of fun and photos to prove it.  Again, thanks Mom and Dad, we love you!

Free-Wheeling!

Although he would rather not, Finley is cruising on 2 wheels-- Fruita here we come....

Add this bike to the other ten we have in the shed at home.  Finley saw this one at a garage sale and thought it was the one for him-  So pinky-lee is now in circulation!!

Little Legs + Little Wheels= Little Distance in Long Time

Good Work Finley!!

The Sandlot

Nope, not baseball pictures... I really do try to remember the camera on game days (hey, there are more games so just hold your horses...) and I actually did take the camera to swim team today and then noticed that the batteries were dead.  Which is just as well, because those little tighties they call swimsuits nowadays would make anyone blush.  So, here the boys are-- literally in the sandbox.

Here's Finley doing his best George Castanza:  (who needs a beach to pose?...)
The day wasn't all Beach Blanket Bingo though.  The boys have already decided that too much together time (what is it day 5 of summer?) was more than they could handle today.  So, after bickering and screaming and fighting and crying, I figured they might as well get some cardio in-- so they took it to the mat.  They had a few good rounds in them until they retired to the sand.  Ugh.

ahhhhh.....

Every now and then there comes one of those Oprah aha moments, or aha memory, or aha taste, smell, feeling, song, dance, smile, whatever it is-- that one second in time when you feel alive.  Not "breathing" alive, but grounded to the earth, in the present, heart filled with gratitude and joy alive.

Amazing isn't it that all that emotion and comfort can be contained in something as simple and natural as the smell of our lilac bushes and the beauty of a flowering apple tree.  Today I literally stood in awe at this sight and could not contain my smile.  Grace continued as a gust of wind helped to distribute blossoms throughout the yard encompassing Liam playing in the lovely white confetti.

What a nice reminder of how lucky I am.

Old, but Funny-- Rapping Christmas Carol

Sorry, can't figure out how to rotate it though.  Finley a while ago-learned this song during Christmas, but figured it was good year 'round-- so singing one of his all time fav hits.  His album release party is gonna rock!
